Summary
QuickAid connects people nearby so they can request and offer help. We collect only what is needed to run matching, chat, safety features, and (when enabled) payments. We do not sell your personal data.

Location
- Location is not tracked 24/7 for discovery.
- Helpers share presence only while Available (opt-in).
- Public map pins for other heroes are intentionally approximate, not exact addresses.
- Turn Available off or sign out to stop presence sharing.
How we use data
- Match requesters with nearby available helpers
- Deliver chat and push notifications
- Prevent abuse (rate limits, bans)
- Improve reliability and safety
Sharing
- Other users: display name, ratings, approximate distance/area, request details you post, chat with matched parties.
- Service providers: Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Functions), maps providers, and payment processors when enabled.
- Legal: if required by law or to prevent serious harm.
Retention & deletion
- Account and history kept while active.
- Delete your account in QuickAid under You → Delete account and data, or use our account deletion page if you cannot access the app.
- Account data and user-generated content are deleted; safety reports may be anonymized and retained where necessary to prevent abuse or meet legal obligations.
- Presence heartbeats are short-lived operational data.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored in Google Cloud / Firebase with authentication and security rules. No method is 100% secure; use strong device security and never share secrets in chat.
Children
Not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where required). Do not use the app if under the applicable age.
Not an emergency service
QuickAid is not a substitute for emergency services. Call local emergency numbers when needed.
Your choices
- Control Available / location permissions in system settings
- Link or avoid linking email/phone
- Sign out or request account deletion
International
Data may be processed in regions where our providers operate (including the United States).
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use means acceptance of the revised policy.
